How To Apply?

An application (cover letter & resume) should be directed to the specific email, address or fax number specified on each individual job advertisement. Your letter of application should quote the competition number indicated within the ad and your current resume should be complete with contact information and full mailing address.

Currently, vacancies for the public service are categorized as follows:

Internal

To be eligible for internal competitions, you must currently work for a department or agency scheduled to the Public Service Commission Act, or be on lay-off status, as per Government's Human Resource Policy Manual or applicable Collective Agreement.

Public

Open to the general public. To apply for positions advertised within the Public Service, please forward a current resume, complete with contact information and full mailing address, to the specific email, address or fax number specified on each individual job advertisement.

General Applications

The Public Service Commission accepts unsolicited resumes on a daily basis. These resumes are entered into a General Applicant Inventory for a period of 6 months and may be utilized to fill any positions that are less than 13 weeks in duration.

Summer Student Employment

Each department/agency is responsible for the filling of summer positions. If you are interested, you can contact one of the Employment Contacts in the respective department/agency.
