Employment Opportunities/How To Apply |

Under the Delegated Staffing Agreement, recruitment and selection for vacancies is normally handled through the respective department/agency. As such, an application (cover letter & resume) or Application for Employment should be directed to the address identified on the job posting or where specified (Human Resources Employment Contact Listing). Your letter of application should quote the competition number assigned to the job posting. If you plan to apply for a position, it is recommended that you call and obtain information on the position as well as the selection process. This exercise will enable you to be better prepared. Currently, vacancies for the public service are categorized as follows: Internal - To be eligible for internal competitions, you must currently work for a department or agency scheduled to the Public Service Commission Act, or be on lay-off status, as per Government's Human Resource Policy Manual or applicable Collective Agreement. Public - Open to the general public. Summer Student Employment - Each department/agency is responsible for the filling of summer positions. If you are interested, you can contact one of the Employment Contacts in the respective department/agency (Human Resources Employment Contact Listing). |
